Data Recovery FAQ

How do I know that you won't lose or confuse my data with another person’s data?

The Data Rescue Center has time-tested policies and procedures in place to ensure the safest, most secure handling of your media.

Here is the outline of the steps taken when your drive arrives at The Data Rescue Center:

1)  Technician opens your shipment and confirms all items in the package, matching it with the Client Information Form included in your shipment.

2)  A full inventory of your shipment will then take place, with serialized stickers being affixed to the media. If you have also sent in a second media (to recover your data to), this media will also be stickered as “Return Media”.

3)  Your media will also be documented by its serial number and a technician will take digital photos of all items shipped to The Data Rescue Center, including the shipping label.

4)  Your media and all materials related to your case will then be assigned a numbered ESD Bin which is also matched up to the same sticker tracking number.

5)  Upon completion of your recovered data, all item stickers are rechecked and new digital photos are taken before we ship the media to you.
