Data Recovery FAQ

How do I know that you won't lose or confuse my drive with another person's drive?

When your drive arrives at our facility, it's removed from the packaging material and the Client Information Form that you printed and sent with your drive is used to verify its origin.

We then print stickers that state your name, date and original problem media. These stickers are then placed on the drive's top cover, electronics board, drive casing, external enclosure and all cables.

If you sent another drive for data to be restored to, we will label it with a similar sticker that says “Return Media”. After the sticker process all of the drives model and serial numbers are documented and pictures are taken of all items including the shipping label.

Then all of the case items are placed into an ESD Bin (which is also stickered) and placed in the Recovery Lab for its evaluation process.  The stickers are verified with the client information form and additional pictures are taken on your drive's departure.
